ABOUT ME
MY WORK
I use 2D & 3D CAD software to design parts and assemblies which can be then detailed in technical drawings for manufacture by various techniques.
I have contacts that can then make the parts by laser/water cutting, 3D printing, CNC Milling and turning, Fabrication, moulding, or with sheetmetal processing.
I have a real passion to embrace and develop ideas to bring them into reality with a goal to make peoples lives easier or simply bring enjoyment.
Recently I have been getting realy interested in industrial design, using nothing but a pencil and paper for hours at a time gives you a real chance form and sculpt an idea.
MATERIALS
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
When I look at the world around me I see limitless opportunitys for improvement to the ways we currently do things or how we manage resources.
I am most familliar with the use of Aluminium, or Aluminum if you are from the USA :) ,
mainly in billet or sheetmetal form but
I also work with steel, carbon fibre, wood, foam and other polymers (as engineers we are taught not to use the word plastics for that group of materials)
